In what has been a very transitory few years for me I have found myself repetitively surrounded by these same few plants. A familiar presence in often foreign environments. The series of watercolours act as an ode to these plants that I have lived with. The depiction of a cut Magnolia flower preserved in water observes the ephemeral nature of the specimen. The interplay between the reflections of light and glass preserve the flower in a moment of time.
