In what has been a very transitory few years for me I have found myself repetitively surrounded by these same few plants. A familiar presence in often foreign environments. The series of watercolours act as an ode to these plants that I have lived with. These plant specimens allow for a closer examination of the familiar introduced genus. The studies present the plants in their various colours and states of decay, the slowly yellowing petals and curling leaves. They observe the ephemeral nature of the specimens.
